Changes of parking conditions as of May 2!

The conditions of payment in Paid Parking Zones within the city centre of Olomouc are changed. Please pay extra attention when paying the parking fee, especially in the case of payments via SMS.

Tariffs are imposed on working days from 8 am to 6 pm. The parking fee in the A zone is 100 CZK/hour. It is 40 CZK/hour in the B zone.

It does not apply to the car park on Jeremenkova Street near the ČD railway station.

How to?

1. Scan a QR Code on a Parking Meter

Scan the QR code of the parking section (which can be found on the sticker on the parking meter) with your mobile phone, or enter the address into the browser: https://ke-utc.appspot.com/

2. Fill in your License Plate

Select the registration number (license plate) of the car from the dropdown menu. When using the application for the first time, it is possible to enter up to three license plates which can be changed any time in the settings.

3. Select Payment Method

After selecting the registration number, the application will display the price list in the form of a dropdown menu. Each item includes the price and length of parking. Select a payment method (credit card or CCS) and press the PAY button.

4. Save the Payment Method

When using the application for the first time, you will be asked to pair the payment card or fuel card and will be redirected to the payment gateway. You can save up to three cards.

5. Feel Free to Fill in More Information

Once you have entered all the required data, all you have to do is to fill in the email address to which you will be sent proof of payment, and enter a password (however, this is optional).

Rules

The driver is obligated to buy an electronic parking coupon via the SMS Premium service immediately after parking their car. The payment of the parking fee via the purchase of an electronic parking coupon is paired with a license plate. An electronic parking coupon is valid only if it is delivered to the driver via text message to their mobile phone and the data entered is accurate.

Payment for a more than 1 hour of parking

If you would like to pay for a more than 1 hour of parking, it is possible to send multiple SMSes in a row. When requesting more parking tickets in a row by multiple SMSes, it is advised to wait for the confirmation of each before sending a new SMS.
The validity of the coupons will combine to extend the desired time of parking. (3 SMSes = 3 hours of parking).

Confirmation Message

A confirmation message will be delivered to the customer no more than 60 seconds after the sending of the Premium SMS.

Payment for Parking

There is 40 CZK fee for the first hour of parking. If you wish to stay longer, you can select additional 15-minute intervals for 10 CZK each. We recommend inserting the exact amount of money for the desired time of parking. The parking meters do not return coins. All information regarding parking payment methods is displayed on the machine.

Example 1

When inserting a 50 CZK coin, you pay for 75 minutes of parking (60 minutes = 40 CZK, 15 minutes = 10 CZK).

Credit card payment

Some parking meters accept payments also by credit cards (contactless cards included). These parking meters are indicated with VISA and MasterCard logos.

Jeremenkova Street

The paid parking area in Jeremenkova Street is operated via a different system. You cannot use the Premium SMS service nor the web application, the parking fee is 10 CZK/hour and the parking time is limited to 1 hour.

Where to park?

Selected local roads and designated parking areas are shown on the map of Paid Parking Zones. These places are equipped with corresponding traffic signs:

  1. area define by vertical traffic signs IZ8a (beginning of the zone) and IZ8b (end of the zone) with the relevant symbol and added text,
  2. tolled parking spaces marked by traffic sign IP13c with added text.

The parking in designated parking areas is allowed on marked parking areas with an Olomouc Parking Card or with a parking coupon, which you can buy from a parking meter the city of Olomouc (“paper parking coupon ”), via the SMS Premium Service (“electronic parking coupon”) , or via the web application.
